Bureau of
Indian Standards (BIS), A Statutory Body under the Administrative
Control of Government of India, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public
Distribution, (Department of Consumer Affairs) invites applications from
eligible candidates for various posts as mentioned below vide Advertisement No.
01/2013/Estt (B&C). The interested candidates can apply only in ONLINE mode
through the official website of BIS at http://www.bis.org.in. No other
means/mode of submission of applications will be accepted under any
circumstances.The registration process will start w.e.f. 27.04.2013 08:00 hrs
and will be closed on 24.05.2013 up to 23.59 hrs. So don't wait for the last
date. If you find yourself eligible for any of these posts then apply today
without delay. Candidates are advised to ensure their eligibility before
applying for these posts. A Written Test will be conducted by the BIS at at New
Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Guwahati centers. Candidates short-listed
on the basis of Written Examination will be called for Skill Test / Interview,
as the case may be:

Educational
Qualifications: Candidates must have any degree for post no.1, Master's Degree in
Hindi / English with English/ Hindi as a subject for post no.2, three years
diploma in relevant discipline for post no. 7 &8. For all other posts may
required graduate with essential qualification.
Age Limit: Candidates
must be between 18-30 years for the posts given at Sr. No. 1 & 5 and 18-27
years of age, for the posts given at Sl. No. 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 & 9 as on 31
March 2013. (Relaxation
in Age as per Government Rules is allowed)
Application
Fee: Rs. 535/- for post no. 1, 2,5 to 9 and Rs. 385/- for remaining
posts. (Candidates
who belongs to SC / ST / PWD / Women Candidates and existing departmental
candidates of BIS are not required to pay any fees.)
How to
Apply: Candidates are required to apply online mode from Bureau of Indian
Standards (BIS) Official website www.bis.org.in. Candidates have to take
scanned photograph and signature for online application submission. Kindly fill
the online application form and DD details carefully.

- Last date for depositing exam fee at State Bank of India (SBI): 21 May 2013
